What is #bkkdevmorning (BKK DevMorning)
A weekly, morning self-study meetup for software people (especially developers). It has already been held 17 times since August 2022.
You can focus on working on your tasks which you couldn’t have done during the weekdays, without feeling lonely.
Even if that were strangers sitting next to you, we share something in common, “software development” so you can feel a bit at home.
There are usually around 4–8 developers from different countries🌏, working on their own tasks, or talking about their interested technologies together when taking a break.
What we do here is pretty simple.
- Come to a cafe at 9 AM, pay for ☕️
- Work on your tasks for 2 hours (coding, trying out new libraries, writing articles, learning, etc.)
- Finish 👏
- Let’s eat lunch and talk about something more (optional)
Why we started this event?
To keep my motivation high and start a productive first day of the week 💪
While other people are waking up late and wasting their precious time, we wanted to spend a productive morning doing something to grow our skills.
I know this is something very hard to achieve by yourself, but much easier together with other people.
FAQ
Q. I’m not a software developer but can I join?
A. Although we do not set any rules on that, we do recommend that you should have a developer background since the majority of participants are developers.
Q. Is this a free event?
A. Yes! The only thing you have to pay for is your cup of ☕️.
Q. Do I have to join every week?
A. Absolutely not. Please join us at any time, at your convenience.
